Project Overview
The renovation at Great Baddow School required a high-performance waterproofing system capable of delivering long-term durability and reliable protection in a wet, high-use environment, making Profoil Pro by Progress Profiles an ideal specification choice for this project.
The installers removed the existing tiles then sanded down the walls to provide a key, applied a skim coat of adhesive over the substrate to make it flat and ready to receive a tiled finish. Once dry, the appropriate adhesive was applied with a 3mm notch trowel the membrane was pushed into the adhesive using the flat side of a trowel using slight pressure once the membrane was fitted, the tiling started straight away using metro tiles 200 x 100 tiled brickbond.
The installer chose Progress Profiles because of the innovation and quality of the product. Profoil Pro is a waterproofing elastic polyethylene membrane with nonwoven polypropylene fabric on both sides that guarantees high adhesion to the support. The product was on-site the next day from date of ordering.
The installer had support throughout the project from specification, with site visits at different phases of project, and technical information as per the requirement of the project.
The client was satisfied with the overall project and the Swimming Pool was inaugurated by an ex-Olympian swimmer.
