Project Overview

The Residence Hotel Ambiez in Madonna di Campiglio, Italy underwent a full renovation of its indoor swimming pool area as part of a wider wellness upgrade. The project required a robust waterproofing solution capable of withstanding high humidity and thermal movement, while supporting a high-quality tiled finish suitable for a luxury spa environment. A complete system from the Profoil range was selected, including Profoil Pro membrane, Proband sealing tape, Proband Koll adhesive, and Profoil pre-formed corners.

The installation began with the removal of existing finishes and preparation of the substrate to ensure a clean, stable surface for bonding. A suitable adhesive was applied, and the Profoil Pro membrane was embedded to form the primary waterproofing layer across floors and walls. This created a continuous, fully bonded barrier designed specifically for wet and submerged environments.

All joints between membrane sheets were sealed using Proband tape, fixed with Proband Koll adhesive to ensure watertight integrity throughout the system. Critical junctions, including internal and external corners, were reinforced using Profoil pre-formed corners, eliminating potential weak points and ensuring consistent protection across all transitions.

The completed installation provides a durable, fully sealed waterproofing system designed for long-term performance in a demanding swimming pool environment. The Profoil system has delivered a reliable base for tiling, ensuring both structural protection and a high-quality finish aligned with the standards of the Residence Hotel Ambiez wellness facilities.
